EU-China ETS Platform Project organized capacity building activity in Guangdong Province

On May 27 and 28, EU-China ETS Platform Project successfully organized another capacity building activity in Guangdong Province, with the participation of over 450 people among eco-environment authorities and relevant enterprises across the province.

The 2-day training covered a variety of topics including theprinciplesand coverage of emission trading, allocation, MRV, compliance, and market regulation, which were lectured by the experts from National Climate Strategy Center, Zhongshan University, SinoCarbon and Guangdong Emission Exchange Center. For the industrial representatives, the experts from China Huadian Corporation, China Energy Investment Corporation, and Guangdong Energy Investment Corporation were invited to share their experience of carbon asset management and international carbon trading. 

Two interactive sessions, Carbon Trading Simulation and Roundtable Discussion were held at the end of each day, which provided the experts, authorities and industrial representatives a good opportunity of communication and interaction.
